It's been a busy month at The Welsh Girl HQ making all the products and doing photographs of the new tone on tone range (Midnight & Graphite and Pebble & Stone) and to get it out there in time for the gift giving season, albeit far later than planned. So delighted to finally launch it... better late than never as they say. It's something I have been wanting to develop for some time but like everything Covid has held things up this year. Whilst still maintaining the integrity of the heritage pattern and making process I wanted to create a more subtle weave, contemporising the cloth in line with TWG ethos.
I photographed this collection at my friend Val's gallery The Table Gallery Hay where Sam Lock so happens to currently be exhibiting his amazing work. Normally I do my product shots in the gallery against the blank wall but couldn't resist shooting these. The tones were just perfect... clearly meant to be!
